Page 1 · People I know and people I don'tPeople I know and people I don't

My name is {{childName}}, and this is my story about safe people. Most people in the world are kind. People I do not know are called strangers. I do not need to be afraid of strangers — just careful around them. Being careful is a smart way to be.

Page 2 · My safety rulesMy safety rules

I have safety rules, and they keep me safe. I only go somewhere with someone when a grown-up says it is okay. My body belongs to me. It is always okay to say no and tell a grown-up if something feels wrong.

My safe people are my family, my teachers, police officers, and workers with name badges. These are the people I can go to when I need help. We can make a list of my safe people together, so I know exactly who they are.

If I am ever unsure about a person, I can ask a grown-up. Telling a grown-up is always the right thing to do — I will never be in trouble for asking. Knowing my safe people helps me feel confident out in the world.
