I might feel excited about a new room, and also sad about leaving the old one. I might feel worried about what is new. All of these feelings are okay. It is alright to feel more than one thing at once.

Even though the house is new, many important things stay the same. My family is still my family. My toys and favourite things come with me. The people who love me still love me, wherever we live.

Page 5 · Making it homeMaking it home

At first, the new home might feel strange. After a little while, it will start to feel familiar and cosy. I can help unpack my things and make my new room my own. I am learning that I can settle into a new home.
