Mistakes Are Okay
Mistakes are part of learning, and they're nothing to fear.

My name is {{childName}}. A mistake is when something does not turn out the way I planned. This is my story about mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes — children, grown-ups, teachers, even the cleverest people in the world.
Mistakes are part of learning. When I try something new, I might not get it right the first time. Each time I try, my brain learns a little more. Mistakes are tiny steps on the way to getting better.
When I make a mistake, I might feel frustrated, embarrassed, or upset. Those feelings are okay, and they do not last forever. I can take a slow breath. One mistake does not spoil a whole day.
If I make a mistake, I can try to fix it, try again, or ask a grown-up for help. I do not need to be perfect. I am learning that mistakes are okay, and that I can keep going.
