My name is {{childName}}. This is a story about a time I calmed my own body. One day, a big feeling came — and I found a way to feel calm again. Calming a big feeling is a real skill, and this story celebrates it.

I used one of my calm-down tools. Maybe it was slow breaths, a quiet space, or asking for a break. The big feeling got smaller and smaller. After a while, I felt okay again.

When the calm came back, I could think clearly again and join in again. The big feeling came, and it went — and I was still okay. Now I know my tools work. That makes the next big feeling a little less big.

Calming a big feeling is hard work, and I did it myself. Each time I do it, it gets a little easier. I am someone who can find calm again. That is great work, me!
