I Asked for Help

My name is {{childName}}, and this is a story about a time I asked for help. I needed help with something, and I said so. Asking for help is a smart and brave thing to do. This story celebrates that moment.

Because I asked, someone helped me, and the tricky thing got easier. Asking worked — that is what asking usually does. The person who helped me was glad I asked. People like to help.

Now I know that asking works, asking will be easier next time. Everyone needs help sometimes — children, grown-ups, everyone. Knowing when to ask is a skill that will help me my whole life. I already have it.
