Saying Sorry
Making things right after a mistake.
Preview

My name is {{childName}}, and this is my story about saying sorry. Everyone makes mistakes — children and grown-ups too. Sometimes I might hurt someone's feelings or break something by accident. Mistakes are part of being a person.

When I make a mistake, I can say sorry. I can look at the person and say, 'I'm sorry for...' and name what happened. Saying it calmly and meaning it is what matters most. Sorry words help the other person feel better.

I can also help make things better. I can pick something up, take turns, or use kind words. Helping to fix a mistake shows the other person that I care. Fixing things usually feels good for both of us.

A mistake does not make me a bad person — it just makes me a person. Saying sorry helps mend things, and then everyone can move on. Knowing how to say sorry well is a skill, and it is one of mine.
