End of the School Year

My name is {{childName}}. This is my story about the end of the school year. The school year is coming to an end, and the holidays are about to begin. This is a big change in my routine. The end of the year happens for every class, every year.

On the last day, I say goodbye to my teacher and my classmates. It is okay to feel happy and sad at the same time — happy about the holidays, and sad to say goodbye. Many children feel both. Goodbyes are part of finishing something.

In the holidays, the days are different. There is no school, more time at home, and maybe trips and visits. Some days will be busy, and some days will be quiet. Both kinds of days are okay. My family will tell me the plan for each day.

After the holidays, school starts again, usually with a new class. I will know more then than I did this year, because I have already done a whole school year. There will be people to help me settle in. I finished the school year — that is worth celebrating!
