Eating Lunch at School

My name is {{childName}}, and this is my story about lunchtime at school. At lunchtime, I eat with the other children. The lunch area can be busy and noisy, because lots of children eat at the same time. That is what lunchtime usually sounds like, and it is okay.

My lunch has steps, and I can do them in order. First, I wash my hands. Then I find a seat. Then I open my lunch and eat. Doing the same steps each day makes lunchtime feel easy.

Around me, other children talk while they eat. I can chat with them, or I can eat quietly. Both are okay ways to have lunch. Some days I might feel chatty, and some days I might feel quiet.

When I finish eating, I pack up my things and put any rubbish in the bin. Then it is time to play. Eating my lunch and tidying up all by myself is something I do well every day.
